{easter}

i'm so overdue with postings, but here is EASTER.
easter weekend was a blast.
jackson was gone unfortunately but brady came down to spend quality time with me.
here is a few moments we spent together at the montage on saturday.
just love this guy.

we tried to get the wedding that was going on, on the grand lawn behind us.
#fail

on sunday, easter, brady got called into the hospital for patients so i spent it with my family.
i put together these little things for the nephews and niece.

loved being with the family and playing with the kids.  such a great day to remember why we celebrate this holiday.  hope everyone enjoyed it as well!

as of late

so much has been going on.
its been hard for me to sit in front of my computer to blog it all.
does anyone still read blogs anymore?
i am looking at this as more of a personal journaling {lazy} system for me so i don't forget the small, simple pleasures in this every-so-busy life i'm in.

here is a load off of my phone...
carwash.
jack gets so many thrills from this place.
i love getting my car clean.
 does anyone else despise getting their nails done?  i know we all need to do it but when my client gave me a gift certificate, i went.  i want it to go fast and silently.  i was dreading every minute of this. something about this whole process makes me uneasy.
 i was a judge at the SCHS cheer tryouts.  oh my oh my.  that's all i should say.
jack had one of his favorite play dates with the stowells.  we played dress-up as superheros all day.

my sister came in to get her haircut a few weeks ago.
i love it when family and friends come in so i can catch up with them for some good devoted time together.

i got through TSA with this 4oz tube!
thank goodness because i would have teared up if they took my favorite hand cream away.
{that wasn't mellow dramatic at all...}

bey blades.
these toys are the new pods.
these two boys kill me with their friendship.
did you know bangs are in?
you betcha!
everyone is asking for them.
my little brother and i spent some good sibling time together recently when my parents were out of town a few weeks ago.  if i were a boy, i would look like him. so good to know.
after watching a cartoon's commercial about a princess toy with jack, he looks at me and says, "mom, i don't ever want to marry a girl who wants to be a princess. i want to marry a girl who wants to play in the mud with me. like callie." cute.  callie would play in the mud with him any day.
this little girl is a bundle of fun and he loves it.
she insisted on taking her wagon ride standing.

randalls

after not being with jackson for NINE days, i decided to take him for a day trip up to alta loma to visit some of our friends the moment he returned from school.
we love love love the randalls.
jack calls him "my friend jack" or "jack jack" instead of jack.

sprinklers under the trampoline!

we loved every minute together!
summer is coming soon!

westwood + culver city weekend

brady works  80 - 100 hours at the hospital  each week so when he comes home, he is pretty tired.  friday night we took it very easy. we drove to westwood for some dinner at 800 degrees after a recommendation from my friend who recently went.
it wasn't a place for someone who is highly allergic to wheat, gluten, barely and rye like i am, but the salad was delicious!  you build your own pizza and it was inexpensive with a cool atmosphere.

on sunday we had the opportunity to listen to elder oakes speak to us at stake conference.  so amazing!
then we came back and i made some desserts... one including gluten free brownies with mini-peanut butter cups in the middle (so i added another layer on top).
after NINE whole days, jack came back from much traveling to and from arizona and then driving to and from san francisco!  so happy to have him back!  brady and i took him up to this cool park up in the hills of culver city.  it was such a beautiful day! we brought the soccer ball, the baseball, gloves and frisbee.

{jack and brady playing soccer... brady is giving him a head start}

i wasn't planning on playing so the only shoes i brought were the ones i wore to church. whoopsies!

 one of my favorite things to do with brady is play catch.  we both have a love for the game and grew up in families that also love baseball so its a lot of fun to throw the ball around with him.

we came back as the sun was coming down and the boys raced back to the front door as always.

such a fun sunday!
