on monday, i took my two favorite boys to disneyland. we had some good, good times.

we saw mickey, went to his house, played all day, had some pizza, had some popcicles, brought chalk in, lost a shoe on a ride, raced to as many rides we could, tried out the tortilla, the bread and whatever other factories they provide, looked for the little mermaid, tried to sneak on the swings, fast passed our way onto thunder mountain, smiled our way onto the front of the lines, danced whenever music was on and felt the magic. can't wait to go back!

friday came so fast!

this weekend is filled.  of course there is a wedding.  sadly a family friend funeral. hair. jackson. time with family and playing games and most importantly, mother's day.  i feel like the luckiest mother of my two boys isaac who has passed on and jackson who i get to love on everyday.  

+ christopher niemann makes the cutest children's books.

+ this swaggin' wagon video may have convinced me i need a mini-van. i may have watched this a few half dozen times and have parts of it memorized.
+ if i lived in switzerland and had oodles of money, i would purchase this for all the biking around town i  would do {if these were my things}
+ my obsession for owls lives on. i have to get these for my new place.  can't you just see colorful fabric balls filled in these?
+ i dig, dig, dig these earrings. a lot.

++ unlike most links, today is a good family friend and personal's friend's birthday. briana blackwelder.  today is her birthday and i am going to her memorial service. she was in a recent car accident.  i'm thinking today will be an emotional one remembering her life.

we love our golden spoon nights together.

jack: vanilla, gummy bears that freeze hard and strawberries; always.

mother's day brunch!

if you want to know what a lucky mama looks like, this is it...

i am pretty sure i've already had the best mother's day already and it hasn't hit sunday yet.

jackson's preschool class served all of us motha's brunch on tuesday.  it was so detailed and thoughtful! eggs with avocado, watermelon, banana covered in coconut and other fun treats! they all wore the cutest black aprons and had posh manners as they came out to our table.  

they gave us fire and ice roses!

jack was so sweet and kept squeezing me and my face. then he wanted pictures together.

i sort of wish i put makeup on this day.  i was so rushed to get us there on time that i forgot.

they sang us mother's day songs that had all seven of us moms with tears down our cheeks.

they have been so carefully practicing these songs for us.

we had to pick out which one our child did on the table. on the front of these are pictures of their moms.  jack drew a picture of me with big blue eyes and a boy haircut.

motha's week special: workouts for spring.

my newest favorite spring workouts with jack:

- skateboarding with him in the front, me in the back with a knee down and one-legged pushing us around.

- peeling fruit by the foot off it's wrapper.

- rolling him into a taco in endless blankets.

- zerberts on the tummies.

- pinning him down to brush his teeth.

- chasing him around the house to put on his shoes which turns into tag.

- swimming in the pool with rings.

- lots and lots of kisses.

so it is wedding season which means i get to attend a lot of weddings from either doing their hair or friends. for those of you getting ready to get hitched or go to some, here are some tidbits i liked about this season of love-ly weddings.

+++ simple garden weddings. small, quaint and just romantic.

+++ these rings. #4 has to be the best. simple.

+++ so the royal wedding inspired my fashion senses to broaden and i like the hat look at weddings. don't think i'm brave enough to try but gina foster from the uk makes some cutesy ones.

+++ simple ties. not the crazy colors that draw too much attention. no buttons on the collars.

+++ honeymoons to places like this. even if it takes a plane or just a train or just an automobile to get there.

and then staying in bed and breakfasts like these.

++++ natural makeup on the bride and RED nail polish. it may seem harsh with pale colors but i think it would be such a pretty combo.
