thursday!

thursday was a great and busy day.

it started out with hanging out with my sweet niece and fun nephew.

they found the magnifying glass and had me take this picture of them.

then over to my cousin jill's house to watch dane impress us with his charm.

then over to my brother and lindsay's house to help prepare elise's baby shower.

little asher hung with me and the lemonade.

he's sportin' the new bracelet bree gave him from her trip to fiji.

elise's bestie amanda and britt helped lindsay and i plan elise's shower.

it was fun to do a whale, grey and striped theme.

it was so nice to have so many people there to celebrate elise and baby finn with us!

one of my responsibilities was to plan the games. 

i had everyone carry clothes pins (3)

and if anyone got the person they are talking to say "BABY, FINN or BOY"

then they can take that person's clothes pin. 

whoever had the most, won.

then, i filled little bottles with blue gatorade and had a contest between 10 of the 50 people to drink it down the fastest. 

mama bean won!

airport goodbyes

when i drop jackson off at the airport, i have to be there two hours early.

this time we were, but then the flight was delayed.  

so we explored this option to let the time pass.

teef.

our grills.

cliche but necessary.

beach days with brady!

we love it when brady comes to the beach with us. 

he has had so many days off with his summer holiday and his nice new rotation at the hospital.

we absorb every moment we have with him.

this day he helped me burry jack into a hole

that soon turned into a racecar.

jack was stoked to see what a hole turned into.

good thing brady is skilled because if i did this on my own, it would look very plain and uncarrish :)

another day with brady was spent surfing.  i didn't get a chance to get too many pictures from this day as my phone battery died but here are a few.

it was a gorgeous day.

brady has really picked up on surfing and we love it!

we spent the rest of the day at the private pool my parent's have at their community.

jack is showing off his towel drying trick brady taught him.

this was one our favorite days.

the weather was so warm and our idea to go to the beach was spontaneous.

the boys were out in the water and saw a bunch of leopard sharks.

naturally jack had to get out of the water to see them.

just you and me babe

a whole weekend together

is what we had this third weekend of august.  

just me and jack.  

we had such a great time.  

i value our time together and hope someday he can look back at his 

childhood and remember our times together.  

we spent most of the day at the pool and playing and then hit the town at the 

dollar movies because we didn't get to see Madagascar 3 yet.

i don't remember much time watching that movie where we both weren't laughing.

can't wait to see it again.

we then walked to yogurt land in japan land in irvine.  

we love our frozen yogurt, maybe a little too much!

i made sure jack didn't have sweets until this special night.

we test as many as possible.

and yes, he did not recycle those 3-D's.

gluten free?

yes please.

there is a lake right outside so we looked for fish and people watched with our mochi toppings.

he spent a good 5 minutes getting ready for church --- perfecting his hair. 

what a stud, i must say.  

i love how he has to go to church in a tie.  

a leather tie.

jack and calli!  

they are buds.

we love his primary teacher.  

she adores jack to pieces and calls me often to tell me.

we are really blessed to have her as his teacher.

such a great weekend baby boo!
