about a month ago, my friends and i went on a canoe trip starting at the hoover dam and then 12 miles down the colorado river.  who would have thought i would ever canoe? let me tell you my expectations... i thought they were going to be wooden boats with wooden oars, drifting down rapids wakes.  to my demise, it was not that at all.

my friend jeff and i had to leave later than everyone else. we had the lucky opportunity to stop at a special gas station that held these three beauties...

we hiked up some rocks that seemed to go forever but a good forever...

we jumped off cliffs into 52 degree water.

colleen was my canoe partner. she is super cute.  we insta-bonded.

it was a great trip with fun friends.  no drama, no injuries... i would do it again.  next time i will bring more food that is gluten free so people don't look at me like they feed badly i can't eat anything and a pad to sleep on so when waking up i don't have bug bites and bruises.
