newport beach tradition

it is a tradition that jackson and i visit the tree at fashion island at least once during christmas time.  we met up with my best friend jessica and her three boys at cafe rio where we all had dinner and then drove together to newport.  the boys were enamoured with the coy swimming in the pond on our way to the large, famous tree that they couldn't care much less about the tree.  we had such a good time.  i love this family of hers and grateful we had the chance to spend a couple hours together to celebrate our week apart birthdays.
