i like to write notes. here are notes i'd like to write but won't actually send:




dear front right tire,
sorry i lost the hub cap the other day. sometimes i see the curb, sometimes i don't.


dear the grow-a-boyfriend on monday,
you haven't grown a smidgen but your instructions said you would only take 72 hours. no worries though, i'm patient. take your time.


dear city i live in,
you are so cold it feels like it's snowing. i sleep in at least three layers of clothes and wake up freezing. give us rain or snow or more degrees; throw us a bone.


dear iphone,
sorry i dropped you so hard that you are kind of weird now. i am disliking you more and more each day; my fault. i shouldn't have dropped you in the first place.


dear current haircut,

i'm still adjusting to you. i think i'm attracting women with you. please grow back fast.


dear jackson,
remember when you woke up on my birthday morning and tried to give me 26 kisses, only to give up after the 5th kiss. when you negotiated the rest of the 21 kisses with your spongey stickers, i knew right then, you will be a great businessman someday.


dear my sleepless in seattle dvd,
why do you have to skip right when it gets to the best part? maybe i have watched you way too much over the years but i'm not ready to buy a new one yet.


dear my 94-year-old weekly client anne,
i look forward to seeing you every week. you make me think being past 75 is cool. thanks for taking the bus every wednesday at 10:30am to get your hair wet-setted or permed by me.


dear the many pairs of scrubs i own in my closet,
thank you for sticking around and letting me use you for leisure reasons other than vocational purposes like intended.  you are comfy.


dear my single mom friend that i talked to the other day,
so glad we finally made time to do so.  for a moment our while talking about our crazy busy schedules, i felt normal. you were a breath of fresh air.


dear mom,
thank you for the Voss water you gave me on my birthday. i'm glad you found humor in the movie grown-ups... even if that was the only humor you found.
