little shop of shavs is offering another give-a-way!
last year she gave away a custom painting that a person won so this time she will be offering a banner like below...
she and i have worked on some weddings together and this particular wedding was featured in this years edition of REAL + SIMPLE WEDDINGS magazine. she did mostly everything along with Aubrey Messick who did the flowers - all I did was give some decor as well as did the wedding party and bridal hair. since this edition she has been so busy with lots of paintings, banners and even decorated for the bachelor's wedding!

I am a young, single, adventuring, love-lover. I love pretty things, sweet things, and of course handmade art. I'm getting ready to move away from my hometown to Portland, OR {my dream city} and would love this pretty banner in my new home to remind me when everything else is crazy, all you need is love. "pick me! pick me!!!" (jumping up and wildly waving my hands in the air.) my brother comes home from a two year religious mission this August. i would love, love, love to have a beautiful banner saying "Welcome Home Ben!" to celebrate his return. we will of course be throwing a huge party to celebrate, and this banner would look perfect in our backyard. really. even if i don't win, you're all invited... but i'm telling you if i have to make a welcome home sign myself, it's not going to look nearly as pretty as this one!

i would probably put something like happy birthday, celebrate, i love you, or happy day...gosh, i dont know, so many possibilities.
So pretty and simple. I would love one! I would love one that said "keep calm and carry on" or "brotherly love" for my boys room. I am trying to make my home a more beautiful, relaxing place, where I can enjoy my job as a SAHM and where people feel comfortable and happy and this would bring me one step closer.
I absolutely loved that wedding and the banner was such a fun touch. I would love a "la vie en rose" banner. great giveaway...and i think you've got a great blog although i don't even know you.
OH goodness! So happy I stumbled upon this. What an awesome idea for a banner. I'm stumped when it comes to what I'd have written on it. Probably something that could be used over and over---birthday bash----maybe? Birthday bash it is. Until I think of something better.
